Hello everyone! My son, who's 13, is a big Buster Keaton fan. He's went as Buster for the past three Halloweens, and enjoys rewatching Keaton's silent films. He's had quite the growth spurt over the last six months, and his costume no longer fits. He's now interested in putting together a more authentic outfit using vintage and/or custom-made pieces.
Before heading down that path, I thought I'd reach out to the collectors and aficionados here to see if this is a realistic project. The main pieces we're looking for are the winged detachable collar, shield tie, shirt, and vest -- I'm not 100% of the terminology.
Other than eBay, are there any places you'd recommend for finding these items? If you were tackling this project, how would you go about it? Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
