Too close to call, Manfred. You are one of those dapper gents who can wear both styles with flair, but I would say that the Panama, with its wider brim, would provide more effective protection from the sun.

Manfred, I'm in agreement with Delectans regarding your question. Aesthetically, they both look good on you. But the wider brim on the first makes it functionally superior.
