Chaps, I've got a good tailor on standby. I need to supply a type II that fits me the way I like, for her to copy.
So about that. I like the vintage shape of this jacket. Broad shoulders and a boxy fit are desirable. A modernised version with skinnier arms and extra body length is not.
Regarding lengths, if the shape is right then obviously she can make the body shorter and or the sleeves longer as necessary.
I did see a cheap offering (£50) from olderbest online, and though they've ruined it with unnecessary extra length - imho - this may still be the best bet. But I thought I'd check with you fine gents first because great things happen on these pages!
