What? You mean the boat driving straight through the massive whale didn't leave you in shock and awe?

I would have had they not spoiled the "surprise" by including it in the trailer for S2. Being an old curmudgeon I need more adrenaline to stir me out of my age induced comas. I will say the Homelander parenting scenes make me laugh out loud. I didn't throw my son off a roof but I did push him off a rock once... The looks puddin' gave me during that scene. Ah... fatherhood.

I introduced my boyfriend to BritComs and I am so very pleased that he enjoys them just as much as I do. We're a big fan of Graham Lineman's work like The I.T. Crowd and Black Books. Oh how I LOVE Black Books. Bernard Black is such a delightfully dark, angry, drunken curmudgeon. You can't help but love him. We tried the first episode of Father Ted, but didn't see quite the same "sparkle" as The I.T. Crowd, but we may give it another go.

We also started Mrs. Brown's Boys and it is HILARIOUS. We absolutely love it. Yes, it's got some low-brow humor, but there's also some really sweet stuff in it, too, about family and all that.

I'm also watching Season 2 of The Boys on Amazon Prime. I'm almost glad they made it so new episodes are on Fridays because binging the whole thing at once is exhausting and leaves me slightly depressed. It's not for the faint of heart. It's gritty and dirty and gory and violent. And you want to just absolutely pummel the villains for being so damn villainous, but yet, the writers manage to make you have moments of sympathy for them, as well.

Pul-LEASE give Father Ted a good go! IMHO it is far and away better than MBB!

He's the fellow who raised something like £39M pounds, he has been entered into The Guinness Book of Records for his world record feat. The program was an hour long, you might be able to find it on the ITV website. Here's a five minute snippet.

Recently I've been slowly working my way through The Sandbaggers, a British spy tv show from the late 1970s and early 1980s. It's unquestionably some of the best tv I've ever seen. It's smart, well written, and extremely well cast. It's mostly a talkie, with some action here and there, the polar opposite of today's spy movies/shows. I can't recommend it strongly enough!

We are nearing the end of season five of Fear the Walking Dead, having caught up the family. My wife had not joined me in watching the show from the start, but as we have caught up the girls to TWD (so far at least as the end of the second last season), we decided we needed to watch FTWD as a family.

Two more episodes, then the new season starts up next month!

We got hooked on the BBC serialization of Martin Chuzzlewit from the mid-90s; about four episodes in.
Paul Scofield as the elder Martin makes acting look like the easiest thing around - smooth, with never a false note.
Don't tell us the ending - we hope a beam of light offers hope in the Dickensian eco-system of fraud, betrayal, greed, and hypocrisy.

Currently binging "Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous" on Netflix, which I got a 30-day free trial subscription to just to watch. It's animated, and pretty par the course for most Netflix animated series, but as a fan of all things Jurassic Park, I HAD to watch. Considering it took us 27 years to finally get a Jurassic Park animated series, I think this show is worth the wait. Initially, an animated series had been pitched to Steven Spielberg immediately after the first movie's success in 1993. Initial sketches were done by Douglas Henderson and Don Glut. However, Spielberg shelved the idea in favor of cinematic sequels. This series is finally being made after 27 years.

I finally got around to watching What We Do In The Shadows on FX/HULU. finished season one and now I'm 2 episodes into season 2. very happy to hear its renewed for season 3 and is underway as its quite fun especially if you are into the goth/vampire mythos stirred into the feel of The Office/Modern Family type of setup.

Watching the Brit offering on Prime...."Capture". A modern detective/spy series so very well executed. Great acting, production values and very much story driven.....but I do admit to a great liking of Brit TV especially their cop shows. Overall it is a great series....just one season of 6 episodes....so far.
