Not a jacket, but trying to style this 1930s Overcoat. The extremely structured shoulders imo work (and look) best with a hat to balance out the proportions but I thought a cap might achieve a similar effect without looking too "30s costume". I don't mind the latter but maybe not always

And by the way you’re right, actually in real life they look more charcoal than blue wabash (as in Stifel’s blue wabash).
Waist 32 front rise is 29 cm (11.4 inches).
