Now add some chain mail and you can go as a knight. Because the pants are really like a piece of armor. Have never seen such fierce thick leather on a pair of pants.

@MrProper You've seen 'em yourself! They negate the need to ever buy another pair. Not that it's going to work but it's good to at least have that option! :D

@willyto @torfjord They're very comfortable because of how soft and pliable the leather is but you can definitely feel the weight sitting on your hips. But overall, they're very comfy. The other heavy pair that I got, while considerably lighter, still feels much less comfortable because of the stiff leather it's made of. Heck, even the Iron Heart's 25 oz jeans felt ten times tougher to wear!

I don't suppose they can stain? Never thought about it. We'll see but nothing so far.

Lol I would love to know what kind of purpose whoever ordered these pants had intended for them. Maybe riding but... I don't know. They're not cut that way and the weight is an overkill even if the previous owner was prone to spills.

@ton312 @JMax I may have had some questionable purchases in the past but I don't ever forget it's The Fedora Lounge I come from so at the end of the day, I wouldn't be bringing in something stupid here cuz ultimately, I myself wouldn't be happy with it. That is to say, these pants are really cool.

And I'm glad you mentioned the cuffs! They ain't half as cool without the cuffs & I was already planning on having them narrowed or something but the moment I cuffed the legs, that was it. They done.

Been testing things today, leather jackets don't seem to work with 'em. Something is off, can't tell what exactly. Denims look cool. Denim shirts really work! I'm thinking your wool half-belts would be 100% compatible and the best part, the pants are only truly happy when worn over sneakers so your Converse are good.

I don’t know how often I’d wear them but I would like a pair like that. . It’ll be interesting to see how they patina. I’d think much faster than a jacket. Those would be perfect with a browns beach jacket for sure.

Looks like Bates.

Could be. I didn´t find any info on this. I thought, it could have been Himel´s early attempt at the BRIMACO pattern.

Anyway: I much prefer it to the Kensington. I would really love to see comparative fit-pictures in the wild.

Btw: Here are some left over Himels from a re-seller with international shipping available (Prices in CHF). Maybe @Damon141 will help out a serious interested buyer about measurements on offered Pinecrest in Size 46", because he was in contact with the shop to figure out the numbers.

I have no financial or professional connection to this shop. I'm just a long time customer and if I can give someone a hint for a good priced Jacket, I'm happy. Just a little info on the american chrome re veg tanned american oak Steerhide used. I have held numerous leathers of all kinds in my hands, but for me this leather is the most extraordinary that I have seen, both in terms of feel/haptic and appearance/colorway...

Oops! That might be quite difficult. I don't know how many Pinecrest have been produced so far. Besides my jacket, I've only seen FL member @RiceKnight's jacket, who bought it from the same seller... Possibly a few made their way to far east (Japan, Korea) but there are little to no infos on the web or on social media regarding the Pinecrest Jacket.

That makes the jacket even more extraordinary for me ;)
