Looks good here! Happy 50th good sir!
Thanks, though my birthday was six months ago. I just keep milking it to buy myself more jackets

“You're never too old to rock’n’roll if you're too young to die….!”I thought turning 50 would bring me a newfound sense of decorum, maturity and a taciturn reserve. Yet here I am taking dodgy photos of myself trying to look like a 25 year old rock star

The weather outside continues to be 90 degrees, and I continue to receive jackets I can't bring out of the house. But I recently sold an Aero Board Racer, and picked up a Thedi Phenix. I really like it! I was worried about the quilted shoulders, but I find the Thedi pattern to fit on me much more comfortably than the Board Racer, despite nearly exact measurements.
This is a Thedi in Black Buffalo

There will be no real jacket wear here in Chicago for at least another two months. Maybe three with the way each season seems to keep getting pushed back. But I just can’t help but show off this grain. The hide on this jacket is so delightful. Feels like caramelized maple syrup. I’m going to post a bunch of photos of recent vintage acquisitions in the “threads of the past” thread. This one really stands out. Objectively a good one inch too short in back. Has a crazy 3.5” front drop. Saves it for me. 50’s chrome tanned Californian steer. The right sleeve is the answer to the question “Why do you like leather?” At least for me!

Really pleased with my new Golden Bear jacket. Leather sleeves and Harris Tweed body. 1/4 the price of my Aero but great fit.

Good job you didn't opt for the Dominator in that case….http://www.roll-tokyo.jp/blog/entryimg/Sid.jpgI thought turning 50 would bring me a newfound sense of decorum, maturity and a taciturn reserve. Yet here I am taking dodgy photos of myself trying to look like a 25 year old rock star

I often do the same. Looks great. What is the leather? Also curious the size compare to your height...?
Thanks. Just the standard sheep. That is a 38. I'm 6' even - though I think the low-rise jeans are throwing off the proportions (I am nearly 15 weeks into waiting for some higher rise jeans from Ciano Farmer).

@tmitchell59 I didn’t want to clog up your Cooper thread in the classifieds. Here is my Cooper. Really like it.

John Lofgren Monkey Boots Shinki Horsebuttt - $1,136 The classic monkey boot silhouette in an incredibly rich Shinki russet horse leather.
Grant Stone Diesel Boot Dark Olive Chromexcel - $395 Goodyear welted, Horween Chromexcel, classic good looks.
Schott 568 Vandals Jacket - $1,250 The classic Perfecto motorcycle jacket, in a very special limited-edition Schott double rider style. My, that is very nice. The grey Collar is outstanding. It looks very much like the leather on the Cafe Racer. This too look like a robust build.
Is this the jacket you associate with MW? I've seen newer labeled with this Collar. Makes sense, mid 60s. Good quality.
Passaic racer received from @ton312. First time going vintage. Felt extremely "at home", and even my wife admits that is has that certain something. Not a full convict to the church of old leather yet, but I get it. I do get it now...
