fantastic. I'm thinking about getting one or the sh model. I sold my 519 and kind of miss it, but figure might as well get a horse style if I'm dipping my toes back in.
If you're looking for a "Perfecto style" then I really don't think it gets much better than this 613H hide. I might have a bit of bias, but everything from the feel to the smell just enlivens my senses so much and makes me think that this is everything that a cross zip motorcycle jacket should be.

for sure. I have a 118 as well which I love. Wore it today and it just exudes positive vibes.

On your 42, how does it fit? What's your height/weight if you don't mind me asking? I seem to be in between sizes on most Schotts and have had to shrink a few of them to get a little bit better fit. I'm a 40 in the 118 and it's a tad bit loose but not bad. Thinking about grabbing a 613sh in size 40 to go for the tight, maybe wearing as open only style. I can get away with in Los Angeles and most of time just wearing tshirts anyway. I know it will be on the edge of being able to zip up, but I figure I already have the 118 which is a bit more relaxed fit.

I think it fits rather well. I'm 5'10" about 190-193 lbs.

New purchase, a vintage deerskin pull over shirt from the Deerskin Tradiing Post (Danvers, Massachusetts)

I wasn't looking for one of these, but i saw one come up pretty cheap on ebay and the size was right so i thought i'd give it a go. It's not for everyones taste i know. Not sure how i feel about wearing leather bare chested, not sure i want to sweat in this thing, I might wear it with a vest.

I have to fully agree. If I would have bought a 618/613 when I bought my first MC (1980 shovelhead), I would have never bought another leather jacket again (until I outgrew it, of coarse, lol). Simply badass Marker.

Don't even think about it OneHead, just do it. It is almost a must have with a collection of your size. I don't think I could get away with the 613SH with my body type, plus, I don't think it would work as good as the 613h on the bike. You would pull the 613SH off nicely I believe. My recent horsehide from Schott took some serious time to break in. My Chest is around a 44 1/2" and my 44 steerhide fits GREAT on the bike. My 46 is a little large and used for layering. I can still wear a hoodie with my 44 though. I would go with your actual chest size, maaaayybbeee a size smaller for the Rock n Roll fit? Might wanna check, I think the 613sh is a slimmer fit.

Brand new, they are kinda underwhelming, but after they break in, lookout. There is just something special about wearing a Perfecto. Go for the legend. Rock on.

Love this. Now you really hyping me up LOL. yeah, most Schotts I'm right in the middle of sizes. So it's either go really tight or go a little big and then do my patent pending "shrinki" technique. I have the actual measurement specs and a 40 in the SH is pretty close to the Enfield I have. Basically if I eat dessert two nights in a row, I'm screwed :p

The saving grace (at least that's how I justify things) is that I got 2 growing boys that are probably going to be bean poles for a long time. So anything that doesn't fit but is quality stuff gets passed on to them at some point. So I'm not afraid to take a chance when I see a good deal. Working on something now, but I can also let it stew. But definitely the hunt is on.

Thinking of treating myself to a late birthday gift. I know this jacket is a little mall/high street, but was just wondering if anyone had any fit pics of a similar jacket. Curious to know how it sits on someone.

60s/70s Californian Sportswear:

This jacket is from the 50s. The zipper has been changed to a ykk. Pony Hide label is not often seen. The slash front pockets instead of the civilian A2 is also a bit different. The Pony Hide will make this a lighter weight jacket. California Sportswear made outstanding jackets in many styles.

Thanks, Terry.

I've noticed on your youtube that you have a video of a 1950s Californian Sportswear in green. Would that be a similar cut and fit to the one I shared in the link?
