Sounds like a modded Aero premier 20s work-coat might be in order...

Perhaps - but I need inside pockets [phone, passport, etc], which would require leather facings; and probably shoulder gussets instead of the elasticated center vent. Well called as that was also one of the Aero models at which I had been looking.

Not looking forward to ride to work tomorrow. First snow and it’s like everybody tries to steer with their feet.

OK then I feel like a "wimp" for wearing my Vanson Ike again today for coffee on the coast.
Jacket taken out of "summer hibernation" for todays' squally weather. 9C minimum 17C max.
Next squall visible right behind the shot. Last day of our spring 8C below average for November for us.
Within 5 minutes of this shot the rain was horizontal and heavy , but only for 10 minutes.
Which is WAY long enough to **** you off if you are on a motorcycle !

I must say from downunder fellows you are all looking "pretty wintry" up there in the northern hemisphere !

scarfs, jumpers, wooly hats, layers and gloves.......

Meanwhile, 43 degrees Centigrade (109.4 Fahrenheit) here on Saturday, then 41 degrees Centigrade (105.8 Fahrenheit) yesterday. Hate this weather. HATE!!!!

Well folks here's a HUGE departure from the norm for me on the Lounge.
St Andrews night down my local pub tonight , traditional Scottish fayre.
Wee lassies Highland dancing , and a live Pipe band in the pub.
My jacket choice for tonight was purchased from this very forum classifieds ( thanks Tweedydon !)
Anderson Tartan I seem to remember from the time.

Seriously in love with this jacket. I feel like I could be happy if this was my only leather jacket. All of these years I’ve felt nothing for cafe racers. Y’all have been posting pics of your cafe racers and I’ve been yawning. I bought this just to give the style an honest chance. I couldn’t imagine I would enjoy it this much.

I feel EXACTLY the same about my (one and only) cross-zip.

Funny how that works.

Yes, I imagine how I’ve felt about cafe racers is similar to how some feel about cross-zips. I was afraid that I would look like a cosplay biker in a cafe racer. But that’s not how I feel at all wearing it.
I never had that fear about the cross-zip, it’s not primarily associated with bikers for me, more with punks and metal heads tbh.
