very nice. I'm digging on the black and brass look. think I'm going to do something with that next. Is that a C2?

I think it's the predecessor, Model C. I picked it up used on eBay. The listing was pretty bare bones, the pics were terrible, but I could just barely make out the Talon main zip with a Bates pull on it. For $75 I decided to roll the dice. More knowledgeable members than I identified it as a Vanson after I posted pics once it was in hand.

The brass and black is indeed a nice touch. Adds a little more pop in my opinion as opposed to nickel (which I have on my Kehoe CR).

$75 holy sheeeeet. Wow. What a steal. yeah, I'm noticing a few differences in the C2, on the belt loops and what not. wow. That's killer.

I saw this https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vanson-44-...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649

not quite $75 LOL and doesn't look like it's brass, although that one photo kind of looks like maybe the main zipper is. I'll be on the hunt though.

That's actually really cool. Do they still make this - couldn't find it on the website. Is it a solid nylon and lined?

No, they've sadly stopped making this one but I agree, it's a really cool jacket! I think it's from the 90's. According to Gail, they had one run of these and that was it. It's very well cut, short & shaped. What you can't see is that it's got shoulder gussets and sleeve zippers.

The jacket is the same material like used on the MA-1, only thicker and the lining is a padded regular quilt.

Last night I found this Ralph Lauren Purple Label shearling overcoat on one of the local online marketplaces. Turned out the seller lives in my hometown so I was able to pick it up today.

It has a little bit of a 70's pimp look to it, but that's cool :D

Excellent find, Marc! I have been toying with the idea of a vintage shearling goat for some time, but good ones are not easy to come by. They Need that "70´s pimp" look, otherwise it´s just an "elderly male with more money than hair" look.

LOL My gf thinks its too much pimp but I think as long as I don't wear a cane with it I might be able to pull it off.

Here's Kramer rocking his coat :D

I already love this jacket.

Night paddling, 10 celsius water, 8 celsius air, cargo ship, high waves, too dark, wave overlooked, swam. Back on car, changed, jacket on and in the same second it got warm. After paddling beer with the buddies was very cozy.
