The Vanson Ike has arrived in Australia. First wear out today. This is a heavyweight jacket , and will be a "winter" gig.

It is going to take some breaking in , (by natural wear only for me !) so I had better get cracking as winter's fading fast

Nice. I've become really keen on this mediumish length of leather jacket recently; in part I think it was one worn by one of the characters in Man in the High Castle that wormed it into my mind. I'm especially taken with that more 20s look where there's a button front and a zip pcoket on the ******. (Funnily enough, a combo I didn't care for some years ago - intersting how preferences develop over time.) There's a wodenrful sense of the utilitarian, a eauty in simplicity, about this style, I think in part for me that comes from the similarty in design to a chore coat, but one made out of a lovely leather. Nice design for showing off a great hide like that too.
There does seem to be a derth of mid length leather jackets. I want a car coat. I really don’t need one.

Second day of the recently arrived Vanson Ike ( ex Hh21 from the lounge classifieds)
This is proving to be a beast of a jacket , down to the Competition weight steerhide no doubt.
"Zip tight" sleeves are well exactly that , "tight" ! No wind going up them on the Harley that's for sure.
This as said before will be a "winter" jacket , amongst my warmer choices.
Last jacket that felt this tough was my bought new 5 years+ ago Schott 641 HH café racer ( now soft as butter !)

Shot taken over at the coast on a walk/coffee and Danish pullup. No bike today (car trip) , SAME south Indian Ocean sorry.
COVID says so , circumstances beyond my control.
Talking in the photo , no wonder my "male modelling" days are well over....

There is no zipper anywhere on my Aero Teamster.

No, I know - I was rifing from your jacket to the mid-length utility style more generally, I coulda been clearer. Zip or no, though, your jacket is really nice.

I've been wearing my cotton work jacket all Summer, and something the same length and style in leather for Autumn is really starting to appeal.

Been ages, but finally A-2 time here in the UK.
Some Dubow comparison pics again. Platon's on left, Bill Kelso's on right.

Wasn't there someone called Platon who worked for BK at a time? Splinter brand?
