One last try on, post conditioning for the Herc. Off to Dena it goes for a refresh. I don’t see how this will be anything other than my most worn jacket. I am over the moon with this guy.

Looks nice, though seems to be noticeably shorter from the back than you usually wear Ton, doesn't it?

Yep. 25” back. Has a nice front drop though. I think spec’ing all my customs (those with a front drop anyway) at 26.5” was a huge mistake.
But it doesn't cover waist belt from the back, and as far as I remember you used to have some stern thoughts about that some time ago) Anyway, to my taste it looks very nice, just curious how some personal preferences might change with the time being. Highly endorse that!)

I don’t mind a shorter back, I dislike a short front though, I’ve never liked that look and never will. This actually sits right at my belt in back, about 1” below it in front. Hard to tell b/c the liner is unattached at the back hem and is sagging a bit. Without the vest it’s actual length is a bit more apparent? No doubt it’s shorter though. I’d say 26-26.5” on a blunt hem is good for me and I’d subtract 1-1.5” for a drop front.

Pretty perfect. I find the wool backed quilted lining in my 30's halfbelt "lifts" the jacket a bit on my shoulders. That may not be the case in an older jacket where most of the "puff" is worn out
agreed, i spec between 25.5 and 26.5 and i am 6'2"!
25" shoudl be about perfect for you.

Did you cut your hair?
Every 2 or 3 months, grab it in my fist what jutting out after my fist i cut with kitchen shears. Side and back undercut trimmed into 3mm
Corona or not thats the only way since 2013 or so.
