Made of « 2nd grade HH » (Stu)
The hide is amazing!
Mate black with lots of grain! Has been stored since 1994 in trunk full of thrift, I guess. I love the hide and the cut. This jacket definitely needs some love.

1950s chp taubers. I can't believe the condition of this jacket. Someone bought this and hung it in the closet. I'm not kidding when I say I'm going to be breaking this in! Wow

Heavy rain and cold outside (at 12C) this morning, so putting on the brakeman before going to work.

Although the collar points look more in line with a Brakeman, with those pocket flaps, that’s surely a Journeyman?

Yeah it's a modified version, I like the flapped pocket as I don't have to worry if my commute pass or other little things would fall off if I take off the jacket. Admittedly, the original version looks really nice too.

Headed to Michigan for one last hoorah on the beach. It’s unseasonably cool which is kind of a drag but this Schott super 70’s *** disco hard hat cowboy jacket is coming along. Won’t need it today but I suspect the temps tonight will feel chilly.

That makes sense. Good idea - I have both and while I prefer the Brakeman collar, I’m particularly partial to the pocket flaps of the Journeyman.

LW's second grade stuff looks much better than many hides out there!

I sold the previous one j max, jonbuilder bought it, I found this one and jumped on it. This is the other one that is a newer model when taubers was at nob hill

The Nob Hill is the older label. This one has the two button cuffs and Nob Hill label.
