My new beige cotton fieldjacket, again. I just love it. The feel of the strong, solid (fine-woven) cotton-Canvas is so good. I weighted myself with and without the jacket and it weighs 1.1 kilograms! But of course, it's just the "heavier quality", as we call it in Germany.

Hey, who turned down the heat? We've dropped from 70° F to 39° F in just two days. Spring has been fickle.

No matter. My quilt-lined Johnson Leathers M-200 (made for Worn Out West) is toasty warm.

If what I've read is to be believed these are actual 13 star original WWI peacoat buttons (so they'd be the same size as what appeared on the original issue Kersey wool navy peacoats). I'd need @Peacoat to confirm that. There is more contrast though between the lighter colored denim and the near black wool...here’s another fuzzy ****py shot.

This thinsulate lined LL Bean A2 was the perfect jacket out on the bicycle today.

42 degrees with a 20 mph wind and occasional sprinkles could have been bad on the bicycle.

When your photos segue from Van Gogh to Picasso, then I'll be worried Tony! Maybe it's just as well I have no $ available to go to Celebration (big Star Wars fan convention held in Chicago this coming weekend for the uninitiated) even if it is my 50th birthday next Monday. Not sure how well I'd do bouncing from 80 degrees Sydney temperature to peacoat weather!

Happy Birthday Benny! If it makes you feel any better I can’t go to the Star Wars convention this weekend either. I was more than a little shocked at the ticket prices but we all know how that goes.
