What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

Eastman Irvin size 44. As you see I am of a rather stout build. The jacket fits nicely close to the body yet somewhat restrictive, as expected. I bought this substantial wearer in 2007 or 2008 when the price was 465 GBP with the Euro being almost one to one. Given the current price it feels now like a sensible investment. I also enjoy wearing this BoB Irvin very much. The photo was taken today at night in an underpass with neon lighting. Hence the yellowish hue. The zipper is right where I want it but I should have inserted the lapel for just another inch. The impressive shearling lapel flap still does it for me. The gloves are the current gray green Bundeswehr officer's gloves which technically are not issued items but have to be bought at the official uniform shop. Really comfy, suave and debonaire.​

Im glad it helped because same happened to me, Ive had a RMCNZ and a BR but I didn't hit the target until the Slender! And there are not almost any reviews or even pictures of that particular model in the internet so its hard to get a real impression. The jacket looks great on you, perfect fit! Congrats Fonzie!

I don't think it would - the A-1 is a very thin, soft lambskin (I assume). Very comfortable - kind of like wearing a sweater, but I don't think it would hold up to any rigorous use, but I've never really put it to the test.

I bought one of their black "A-2" styled jackets to use as a police duty jacket and it is a much more substantial leather (allegedly goat I think). It's pretty durable and also well-worth the $99 for it's intended use.

For the moment at least, a deerskin jacket made by Mid Western Sports Togs.

This was a company that you could send your salted deer hides to and they would tan them and use them to sew a variety of clothing articles. They went out of business sometime in the 70s or 80s. I think this one may date to sometime in the 60s.

Pretty simple, two pockets, two side adjuster straps.
