Thanks! They're very well made for the price (I got this one on a clearance for around $25 shipped). This one fits a bit tight though and my wife has decided that it would be better for her than for me so she confiscated it shortly after these photos were taken. I'll have to keep an eye out for another one in a size larger.

Double breasted and can be buttoned in either direction, ie buttonholes on both sides. Made in Milwaukee. Company started in 1859 and was in business at least through 1937. Maybe more recent times, very scant info on the web.

Thanks guys. I'm liking it a lot even though it needs work. It feels like something out of the '30s to me, but I really have now idea. The Maine woven cloth is amazingly nice. One can tell this was worn regularly for many, many years.

Thanks for the links Dr Damage. He had some real beauties shown there. None exactly mine, but a very similar one from the 30s and some from the 40s that were close. The later ones seemed to go toward the half belt. Very useful to study for sure.

Michael, the jacket is great, whenever it's made! Plus, I like your overall looks. Could I ask what these pants are? I think everything from top to bottom looks great. I also dig the second hat, from the behind shot. It looks kinda special.
