Better lighting in the bathroom. Aero Plainsman aged natural steerhide. It’s a thick, heavy, bombproof jacket and my intention for this one is to wear it layered—so slightly roomy.

I've always wanted a jacket in natural hide... but there are so many other leathers too... and so little money...

The jacket is indeed the twin to Ton’s weed-cop jacket. Only difference seems to be the zipper-placement.
Initially I wanted a custom HWM, but the latest batch of midnight-blue CXL is already out. Imagine my joy when I spotted this beauty in the Sales...

I really wanted to try the natural HH, Aero used for their Epaulet-collaboration, so I specced a Premier HWM. I asked for Board-Racer cuffs (...), but due to some misunderstanding or perhaps me not making myself clear was told that this was not possible for this style.

I got the jacket mid July and was really happy. Only days later, Ton posted his masterpiece, Board-Racer zips and all. This was how I ended up ordering the twin.

The photo isn’t terribly good, but the colour comes across pretty accurate. Three weeks of wearing it hard (and not babying it, which would be useless as the hide is a stain-magnet) have done miracles to the optics.

Here you go: The bottom one is virtually straight out of the box (with a bit of early sunburn on the right shoulder after lying near the window for half a day or so).

The other one is after two weeks or so. I am more happy than I look, but I will work on telling my face likewise...

That's a sharp looking jacket! The premier HWM was literally about the last style I would've selected (aside from maybe an a-2 or whatever)...it's hilarious how it's become my favorite pattern. Your photos illustrate why!

If one could choose only two jackets to own i believe your pair of midnight blue and Natural Aeros would sate me ad infinium!!
Makes me wanna sell my precious ones and start ordering.
Except the Cal and the Antique Steer and....well you get the idea!

I’ll be curious to see if Horween can reproduce this now expired batch of cxl midnight. No two batches are ever exactly alike across the color range. Can lightning strike the same place twice? There has to be a bit of magic there I suppose.
