OK, clear ... it is interesting that the inscription in English and Arabic ... Old RAF base somewhere...

There were several RAF bases in the Middle East, mostly in Iraq, some in Egypt and Israel. This sign looks more modern, so probably from one of the bases in Qatar, Aden or Yemen or perhaps from the Gulf Wars.

I also thought about Egypt first, but you are right - the plate looks too new for this.
