No, not this time around. I may be visiting the Japan store, I want to see how the slimmer versions fit me.
You can’t tell from the pic but…I’m sort of in between sizing on these LL jackets. The 38 is too snug and the 40 feels boxy through the back.

Yeah, understood!

I love my Lightning, even more so than the Perfecto. But it’s NOT a comfortable jacket. Lack of any help for arm/torso movement makes it always feel restrictive (no gussets, action-back or underarm-footballs).
Personally, I’d probably size up next time around and live with the excess material.

The "waterproof without goretex" outfit.
Would I stay dry during a downpoar? Probably not.
But heavy pigmented chrome tanned leather (and high quality rabbit fur felt!) give 0 fks about regular rain.
Akubra "boss" hat.
Vanson Highwayman jacket.
Lost Worlds leather pants.
Sendra 13416 engineer boots.

the leather pants add +10 to durability against baby grip strength
the leather jacket adds +10 to baby hissy fits
and the hat adds +10 to baby spit ups.

Brand new U.S. Wings “Fonzie” jacket in vintage bison. Wore it for 10 days while exploring Normandy & Paris on a D-Day history tour. Jacket is really breaking in nicely; their bison leather is thick and robust yet pliable. I’m liking this jacket design very much!

Far too hot for wearing a jacket today, but here is one I had a little fun with making recently. I took my cafe racer pattern block and went kinda perfecto style with it, using a heavy 4+ oz Steerhide. This hide is not for the faint of heart for the wearer, nor the maker!

Went for a quick errand during lunch break and rewarded myself with a hipsterian iced latte.

As of late I've been wearing my Chinese halfbelt by Veluokedly (or something similar equally headbutted on a keyboard). The weather is unable to decide if it's hot, rainy, cloudy or chilly, so lately I've basically been alternating this jacket with a Mountain Equipment softshell, as it is light enough for me to not overheat but thick and sturdy enough to not run cold or suffer in light rain.

Lol. I can imagine the founder despairing: "I don't know how to name my company!". Headbutts the keyboard. "Yes, that's it - Veloukdly!" On a different note, I think that is exactly how they name new drugs.
