Just home from a very long and sun drenched vacation in my favorite place on earth, Union Pier MI. Thanks to @nick123, I have this unbelievably nice Aero (modified) original Herc in blk/brown vic. What a jacket!!! Serious heft, beautiful grain…I could not have drawn up a better fit if I tried. I am over the moon. All the mods are exactly as I’d want them. This is an exit piece. There’s little left for me to get after. Aero has really out done themselves on this and my wool jacket. The repro vs original see saw balance has tipped yet again.
I have attempted to recreate @jonesy86 epic catalog photo below. LOL. I actually might need a legit fedora. Oh the humanity.

Very nice! Side adjusters at the wrong place, but very nice indeed…

Thanks man!

I think it will be ready within the next few weeks? I put deposit down at end of January and they estimated about 6 months. Aiming for a trimmer fit this time around, going to be a very different jacket from this one.

I look forward to it. Timberline would be the Langlitz I purchase new. Great jacket.

Hard to beat the fit throughout the body of the primo Boston-area makers. And more often than not, they are a bit longer.
Yes, I noticed that too. Spiegel is a bit more boxy/blousy, innit? Kit looks more....elegant? if that's the right word. Love them both.

The last time I wore a Levi's jacket was....

s-l1600.jpeg

My hair started two inches above my eyebrows and finished between my shoulders, the beard (and hair) were black.

I bought this a week or so ago. It is a made in Italy model and pretty thick, however it was the 40 odd years of dirt that made it stand on it's own..

I have read here about washing jackets so.

Three bath washes later (water was nasty), drying, quite a bit of Pecards, bit of touch-up dyeing, drying again and then Obenauf heavy, and I got this.

Soft as butter (the jacket ;_) Collar shape inspired by Ton.

Going to be a good 'throw on'.
