I think they're buddies, Aero making jackets for Levi's and all so it's okay.
I think you’re right. I know they have done “official” runs with Levi’s/LVC. So because of that I think they are “allowed” to do their jackets.

Per Chicago tradition, our 60°F+ (15°C+) weather didn't last long. We took a nose dive back into freezing territory. This morning it was 32°F (0°C) again and it warmed up just a few degrees more.

Here's today's jacket. Shearling rancher style from Drome. It's always a great choice on cold, sunny days!

And here was yesterday's wear. Sandro shearling bomber jacket. Reminds me of the old pseudo-B-6 that Schott used to make: its waistband and wrist fabric to keep the cold out, a super soft collar and lining, and a shorter cut to hit you just above the waist.

These photos make me realize I'm at the point in my life where I really look like my dad from my childhood photos. No complaints! He's an awesome guy! :) I'm just surprised I've never really noticed it before.

I will let @handymike answer that, but I might add that it is not the first greenie Brooks on TFL; this one had awesome paintwork:

Au contraire @Will Zach, that one was brown. :p
The pulls have been replaced by our British friend with brass repro Talon diamonds (possibly from the Hercules project). They might get swapped for aluminum wedding ring pulls from a Kehoe donor. I did find a back-up forest green Talon zipper to hold for the future.

Mystery brand -made in Great Britain - CHP jacket.

Out of all the leather jackets I own or have owned, this one is by far the nicest leather. It's thick and substantial yet supple and buttersoft. Grain is out of this world.

That is perfect, all around. Incredible leather. I love my modern jackets. And if I had to pick only one or two jackets to own, it would be LW. But there is just something about a vintage jacket. I can just appreciate them without actually wearing them too much. And this jacket certainly is special.

Sometimes... Or rather very often do I think TFL began living in its own tiny little world where only five makers and three types of leather exist and nothing else and then you buy something like this that pretty much destroys 99% of the CAL's that I've seen and I wonder, what else is out there?

Is this veg tanned? Is it chrome tanned? If it looks like this, does it matter? Does buying one or another even matter since I know nothing I'll pay major money for won't ever look like this? What am I buying when ordering a $2000 jacket from Japan, then? Have I been ****med by every existing big name maker?

Probably.

CXL? Shinki? Aero? Freewheelers? Vanson? Best I forget these names forever. . .
