I worked with Damon at JL this most recent custom jacket. I have been very impressed. Lot of knowledge and great customer service

I cannot say for sure, but all emails and phone calls were with damon. I believe there are a couple people that actually make the jackets. I worked with alan on 4-5 custom jackets. I do not think he was involved at all in the actual production/construction. I could be wrong. I got some production shots of my mc500. One person was taking pic (damon) and there were two people sewing at different stations.

Is your jacket for Johnson leathers? I saw one like yours at JL last week in HH overdye, sweat jacket, perfect fit. I was told 3.25 to 3.5 OZ.

How was the leather? Pretty uniform and looked nice? After you mentioned that I am now thinking of another chp form JL maybe in this hh. They posted a pic of a type three in hh overdye that looks great

I prize the jacket it has developed nice graining. I experience professional fitting and customer service through the jacket making process.

It's not, mine has wider shoulder, longer back length and shorter sleeves, I have not check the pit to pit, the lining on chest pocket is also different.

I would say my JL is the best jacket I have so far, just little concern if the quality of JL will varies without @Alan@JohnsonLeather supervision.

Same people behind the scene and not to say Alan is not involved, just because he does not work the store.

Interesting! I thought that I had the last of the purple flannel liner. Sleeves do look shorter. Must’ve been a copy and paste. Good taste whoever did it. LOL.

It was heavy. Like a thick blanket.

My attempt a sizing down 2x on a standard Highwayman.. size 44 Jacket on my 48 body.. feels pretty good actually.

Boyo - a very timely post from my selfish perspective...I am considering buying a CR that is shortish for my frame and will fall exactly where this jacket falls on you. This jacket looks a mite shortish on you, being a 44. Are you happy with this length? What does the Lounge say? Sorry if I am derailing the thread, but this is super-timely and would love to hear opinions.

Fully crop your shorts so I give you a 95% rotten lounge score. Still damn good. Congrats man. Jacket is perfect and fit too.

I actually don’t think it’s all that short, I dont notice the length at all when it’s on. could It be the angle of the photos?

Yup, guilty as charged.. as long as I’m working from home there will be no long pants when it’s 90+ degrees.
