What is your favorite Scotch Whisky?

I had a Glenfiddich, and I would pick it over The Glenlivet. I also had a sip of Macallan (not sure which age). It was amazing.

It wasn't too bad. It was 44 NZ dollars. Nicely presented and it means you can try the rarer and more expensive whisky without having to invest in a whole bottle. For those visiting Christchurch it was at last word whiskey and cocktail bar.

I love smoky. I like latakia. I like smoky teas like lapsang souchong. However, I do not like smoky in my food for some reason.

It certainly is pungent but I like it too. Better than how my friend describes it---smells like a wet moldy mop.

Unpeated!? Heresy I say!
It just means they don't use peat as a fuel to dry the barley in the drying room. I wonder if they use a snow blower like Laphraig does in their drying room.

I know, I know. But have you tasted the spirit? I wouldn't buy a whole bottle, but it's worth trying.

For peaty drams, I always have Laphroaig and Ardbeg in the cabinet. As I suspect you do as well....
