Here's my lid for the day. A light weight felt that is perfect for the cooler temperatures we've been experiencing the last couple of days. Gimbal. Since 1865.

It has been mostly a Newt inspire day at my house. I started with a non-Newt for a dog soirée. The cattlemans woven hat was just the trick for a long walk.

Morning cold brew under the brim of a Newt.

It did not take many outside tasks to have me worried about perspiration wear on the woven hat. I switched a different Newt so one could air dry and I could wear the other. Wearing my hats, but wearing them gently. Below is a composite pic showcasing the two hats. They are not cousins, rather twins.

I did a quick run to the grocery store under the brim of a Newt with a curled brim. Lovely hat.

Heat advisory for the remainder of the weekend in my neighborhood. Be safe folks.

J. Hückel´s Söhne Standard "Loden", possibly early 1930s. This Soft Felt is from my 2016 NOS Czech find.

J. Hückel´s Söhne, Display Cards, 10 cm x 4 cm, possibly mid to later 1920s. I found these Display Cards in 2019.

Stellar hat, Steve. It's about time for another find like that (but in a size 7 ;)).

I am wearing a rare, unique and irrepleaceable hat today. I brought it to NJ to sell, but I am having second thoughts.
It was my understanding when I bought it that the New York Yankees' owner bought a Dobbs 50 for each member of the team, to celebrate their win in the 1951 World Series.
Al Werner, whose name is on the sweatband, was an announcer, I think. One of the pictures shows Yogi Berra wearing his, but it was way too small for him. It deserves second, third and fourth thoughts, Max! What a thing!
