Ditto. I don’t have any hats I won’t wear. :)
Just wait. When you have certain collectable ones (like an original )1930's) Fu Lazarro Bombetta (bowler) or an original John Cavanagh bowler that you want to absolutely preserve in its original box. Certain ones really are just for looking and, despite the quote in my signature, trying on in your own mirror.

Here’s a hat to wear…
Knox Milan, probably from the 1950s.

Especially watches...when my kids inherit my stuff it's going to be well used
I'm not a watch guy - I had what I thought was going to be my first decent watch picked out a while back - I was going for something chill with a leather band - my wife thought it was too boring and I thought the one she liked was too gaudy, so I just shelved it and went back to focusing on hats. : ) May swing back around one of these days.

I like to wear even my most rare hats…. Though there are certain ones I tend to be a bit more gentle with and would make me a bit queasy to bust them out for tree trimming ala @Short Balding Guy But I do like to wear them none the less.

Th. Jo. Ernst Köln "Panzara Superior" "Eden", possibly late 1950s. Not sure of the source. The model name + wording is Italian but the paper label is German and Mayser like. I found this Soft Felt back in 2019.

Gorgeous hat, Steve. Certainly looks like a German hat. Panizza had a trademark called Panfilo. Maybe they marketed this one as well.

Esther straw.jpg

This lovely straw was made by former Lounger Esther Weiss. It had become somewhat battered with our moving house but Tina salvaged it and a fine job she made of it too.

The vintage bicycle, designed for the ladies, is perfect when you have had, like me, a hip replacement. Lifting my leg over a crossbar proved very painful.
