What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

Something in my mind just begged for a big hat this morning. This old 4x project Resistol with a 1" brim curl seemed perfect. Its a great cold weather hat and its actually below 75 this morning, so I figured "why not?"

Today, our "Hat Chat" series becomes "legal" at #21. To celebrate, I am going live at 11am EST while wearing one of my Champ fedoras with their Kasmir Finish. It was made for Arthur's Men's Shop, owned by Arthur A. Schalon and located at 308 Watson Street in Ripon, Wisconsin from the early 1950s to the late 1970s. Based on the hat details, it probably dates towards the later years of the store's existence. Pop in if you want to talk about anything hat-related.

72 degrees and a nice breeze this morning in East Texas.. First time in weeks it's felt comfortable enough to fire up a morning pipe. Mr Moose even joined in and laid down out here. Since his surgery, he's just gone straight back in to the couch after taking care of his business

Sometimes you get an inexpensive opportunity to see different companies' takes on hat styles we all know. This one is a Christy's Adventurer/Poet. I don't think it is offered any longer (Edit: Apparently they do offer it.)

Not the best Indy hat interpretation (this one in navy), but a nice one, nonetheless.

Recently refurbed a Stetson 25 open road, darkened the color with coffee staining, added a dark brown band and brim binding. Love the soft feel of the felt. This may be my new go-to hat.
