Good afternoon. work escapades have kept me away. Here are a few hats worn recently.

A Stetson Whippet (coated straw fedora circa 2013).

A JC Penny thin corded ribbon Solar "Genuine Panama"

A Champ Featherweight.

Stetson Stratoliner (woven hemp).

Adam Milan.

A Stetson Stratoliner (Florentine).

Mallory Ten.

Stetson ******* (sage green).

Supernatural panama.

Stetson 7X Clear Beaver and the debut of my newly acquired Stetson Sheriff clip. I’ve been after one of these for years and just last week I found and purchased a charm version I figured I could fashion a way to attach. Moments later I found the real deal! ***Side Quest Completed!!***
The 7X also seems to have its bashed morphed into a bit of a Four Corners crease today.

Another vintage score I am very pleased with. Although certainly not as old as some other recent acquisitions, the specifics of this one make it especially happy-making for me.

Here's what I know about the hat, from my seller by way of the original owner's son who gifted it to him years ago: in September of 1964, it was purchased as a dress hat by Sgt. Jack Morrison, a Texas Ranger who spent his entire career stationed in Brownsville TX.

Price was eminently reasonable, and the Shudde box (nearly as collectible as the hats) is in outstanding condition. My seller is continuing to look through memorabilia Jack Jr. gave him, to see if there's any paperwork still extant that pertains to the hat.

Pulled a nice soft 4x Stetson off the wall today. This is one of the James Dean Foundation hats. Always liked this one due to its soft feel and flatter 2-7/8" brim

Wearing and bringing my modern Mossant shantung hat with me for a few days R and R with the extended family.




Even though it's Chinese-made, you can tell the French put a lot of thought into its design and construction. Really well-made and recommended, if you can find one (and want a modern "straw") at a good price.

They were initially located at 1534 Market Street in Philadelphia, PA but moved to 1628 Market Street some time in the 1920s. Please feel free to pop in and let's talk about anything hat-related.
