Well Mr Moose got the news today that we kind of suspected. His tumor was a malignant Hermangiosarcoma. Vet said at his stage that chemo is not normally very effctive so thats not really on the table. He had his staples removed this morning, and vet said he looks to be healing really well so at least hell be a bit more comfortable. The pathology report indicated that the combined mass of the spleen and tumor which was removed together was over 4 pounds. Red blood cell count was low this morning, so vet wanted to give him a blood transfusion before I take him home later this afternoon. whether its 3 months or or three years left, the long term prognosis is not very good and basically boils down to how well his body fights it. Beyond hugs, attention, treats and car rides theres not much I can do but be there for him.

Hug your pets
Not unexpected, but still always hard to hear. My pack and I continue to send good thoughts your way, Rick.

Mr Moose heads to the vet this morning for his one week post surgery checkout ...wish us good luck.. probably get the pathology results back from his tumor. Hes ready to get off his meds and grow some hair back.

Mr. Moose has prompted a reminisce or two. How we love our pets, it's so, so difficult when the toughest of decisions have to be made. Thinking of you Rick, and the lovely Mr. Moose.

Going green in empathy with Rick today, so many of my hats and other wardrobe packed away, pending our house sale, it's a case of wear what's left. In the UK there's a requirement for an Energy Performance Certificate on a property when selling, we are returning to our agents later to arrange it.

Happy 3x Open Road Friday! Has been a long hot week...looking forward to a low key weekend. Mr Moose had a blood transfusion yesterday and it really perked him up a lot... tail wagging, pulling on the leash, and alert. Im thinking they must have had a margarita in that bag... he was a happy dog when we got home lol. Weve got a couple of ribeyes ready to grill up this afternoon... Im wagering he will enjoy that

Not finished but I wanted to wear this 1980’s Resistol 7X on a caffeine run. A dimensional cut 3” RE x 6” OC. Getting hard to find good blocking with a 6” crown. Center crease with elephant ear dents. Maybe by wearing it I’ll be inspired to finish work on it.

Ive run into too short blocks a couple times. Ive been thinking I may add a couple threaded inserts in the bottom so I could make up a couple 1" extension blocks to bolt in place and lengthen the block when needed

Glad it’s Open Road Friday!
These two RDLs are fresh off the usps truck.
Purchased on eBay from same seller 5 days ago.
I’ve had around 70 of these Stetson ORs of all years, measurements and colors go through my hands over the years, but believe it or not, this is my first silver one.
Need to brush and shape em.

Edit: just noticed neither of these are true ORs. Oh well, close enough? :)

A Neighbor up the street saved me a trip today and did a likker resupply for me when he ran up to the nearest wet town. Mr Moose got to take a ride to the end of the block to pick them up... ANY short ride is better than no ride. Hes done with his pain meds and tomorrow is the last day of his antibiotics so Im hoping his tummy issures will level out in a couple days. ( his #2s have been about a 1-1/2) Were shooting for rare to medium rare on the ribeyes tonight. Moose doesnt care but Im pickey in regards to rareness lol

I am sorry to hear about Mr. Moose’s diagnosis. Hemaangiosarcoma is a tough disease. Your care and love is the best medicine for him now. Being there is what he needs.
