Ditto!I don’t usually comment on your posts, Vic. They always inspire and i admire from afar.
If i could wish 1 post here, i would wish to see what you consider your top 10 hats.
Thanks for your posts of fine felt.

Grazie, Daniele. The Fléchet caught me a bit by surprise to be honest, because its quality is far better than I had expected from them. They don't directly come to mind when thinking of the very best French makers, but on accasion one shows up that can compete with the finest of them. Didn't think they could make such a fine velour. The throne is still firmly held by Hückel though.Today, the first Sunday of February, you are spoiled for choice, dear Stefan.
The first, with equal merit, are these two above
The Flechet Velour is out of category because the quality is supreme, at least in those I have had and have in my collection.
Considering that you have, lucky you, a quantity of black furry ones in velour, what do you think of the Flechet velour?

I do like the contrast of colours on this OROlder Stetson 3x Open Road friday! Only Light green with rose ribbon that Ive ever had in my hands. Felt is in really nice shape, and its a long oval so its a nice fit. Ive debated replacing the rose ribbon, but the fading has kind of grown on me over time. Other than that I just need to snug up the slightly loose wind cord a bit . One of my favorites

Brüder Böhm Velour, possibly late 1920s early 1930s. This Velour was made for the French market. I found it back in 2010.

Brüder Böhm Wien Postcard (April 8, 1918) I picked this one up recently. It was sent to a hat store owner (Franz Hatzer) in Mamberg, Böhmen, Austria (today Vamberk, Bohemia, Czech Republic). Found this postcard back in 2012.

Mystery Blue Hat Saturday! Not really sure what it was because there were no tags when I got it and it had some sort of hand tied scarf band and a big white goose feather stuck in it lol
I do know its a fairly heavy navy blue Sovereign felt Stetson something-or-other, with a welted edge. Made up a more appropriate grosgrain ribbon and bow and stuck a bit more civilized feather on. ( I MAY redo with a slightly smaller ribbon... just havent made my mind up yet) Its a wonderfully soft hat and feels great in this morning's 34 degrees. Not the nicest hat on the wall, but it checks the box on the "blue hat" column

Nice find Nathan. Who would have thought you‘d be adding to the collection over there. Happy New Year.
Safe travels Nathan!Thank you Joe. I didn't need another hat while traveling but I'm glad I bought this one - it has some fun character!
I only have three more airplanes to take anyway (all on my homeward journey). Almost home! (Not that I'm anxious to leave Asia, but I am very hopeful that I will be able to get back to work.)
Here are some hat photos from the last week. Chinese New Year has been non-stop action for me - today is the first day where things have slowed down a bit.
