Nice one...I bet it works well for shooting that beautiful ***** you built.

I'm no expert on any of this stuff, but I seem to remember folks here that would know putting mine in the same age range. Time has taken it's toll on the tags behind the sweatband. They are present but mostly unreadable.

I love how they documented everything on the hat. Stamping on the inside of the sweat even details what bow style brim style, brim size, and felt stiffness. Tag has the block number from shaping. Lots of initials from whomever handled a particular step. Nice to discover things like that close to 100 yrs later. Too often nowdays on new hats, if you can find a brand, "100% wool" and a "Medium" size tag youre doing good lol

What age to you put on yours? I was told mine looked like late 20's or early 30s.

1930 - 1942 for yours Rick (first use of the rondel with the city names — from the 1935 trademark info — through the latest hat with a known date on the sweat to use that rondel).

1900 - 1915 on yours Timmy (pretty sure — based on that logo having the 1900 Exposition medal, but not the 1915 one).

This morning here @ Rock Bottom it is brutally cold out for skinny old men like me. Currently a balmy 9 degrees with sunny skies... Hooo - ****** !! No snow headed our way for a few days, just gonna be COLD. Y'all that's fixin' to get the snow stay safe and warm.
* Mr. Disney Otter Fifteen is my lid for today . I appreciate all of the well wishes for my well being and I am pleased to say that my arm is on the mend.

Man, I was glad I was sitting down. What a fabulous hat!

J. Hückel´s Söhne "Zephyr Seal Velour" possibly late 1920s early 1930s and made for the American market. This Velour is very difficult to photograph because it absorbs all light. I found this fantastic Velour back in 2012.

Excellent! Good to know. It still COULD be my oldest... I have one of my Grandfathers Knoxs from 1939-1940

Snows all melted and sun came out. Sittin' out back in the sun with good pipefull of a cigar leaf blend, under a Imperial Stetson Ultimate finish from Miller Hats in Houston... nice soft and dense felt ( this things come a LOOONG way since I got it lol). Also finally got a long delayed ebay package in today with a nice old Orvis Fishing School leather Aviator jacket in. Great shape but Im going to have to do some alterations... sleeves about 2 " too long lol

Thanks Stefan. The felt has a velvety smooth feel to it that is quite luxurious.

I didn’t change a thing (save removing that grotty liner). That’s just how it sits on my head. I know the brim shape can be warped a bit when a too small hat is stretched to fit a large head, but this one feels just right and sits comfortably just a bit above the ears.

Today's hat of the day is my beater, nothing too exciting and it's a relatively cheap hat for a fur felt, I'm under no illusions that £120 is cheap in today's financial climate. Especially as I've paid it twice for this hat. The first iteration met rather a tragic end involving a fire, absolutely no idea how it started................it was me, I overcooked the rubbing alcohol.

Marlowe in Chocolate brown from Gamble and ***n, cotton sweatband. As you can see it didn't really sit on my head as well as I'd hoped (No shock, the first one was the same) so I took an iron to the brim and gave it the old Oppenheimer treatment. 11cm crown, 7.8cm brim. As mentioned, it's not as fancy as my stetson or as hard-wearing as my Akubras, but it is a fantastic all-round hat.
