This one went a bit higher than $13. 1950s (?) Stetson Sovereign Twenty. The size is a mystery. Exciting!

Churchill 100, beaver and vicuna, that I bought some months ago. It was only size 7 and had a bad sweatband, so Randall has been working on it, upsizing it and basically rebuilding it with new sweatband. These are pics he sent yesterday. The hat originally had a cattleman's crease and was an LBJ style hat. The ribbon has also been replaced. The last photo is before any work was done.

Well, here’s a surprise. Wasn’t at all expecting to win this one. https://www.ebay.com/itm/2758952487...can0sdqtpg&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
I put in a bid, the only bid, specifically to ensure knowing how high it would go. It’s a small size, but the uniqueness of the hat made me think it would go past $200.
Said I wasn’t going to buy anymore hats, but since it wasn’t supposed to be a win and for this particular Fray and its price I’ll make an exception.
Guess no one with a small head saw it?
Never heard of a Mole Skin fur finish “Columbia” so I just knew it would get picked up, but by gum she be mine.
Anyone in here knows anything about this model please share us some light.
Don’t know what I’ll be able to do with it, but maybe resell one day in the future. For now I can say it’s mine…if usps does their thing once more.
Was able to take a small 6 7/8 Emko Boss clone and make it fit Mike in Rome’s
7 1/8 plus head without a single problem or ill effect, so maybe……

Those poor girls!!
I wouldn’t wish getting Max a hat on them. They’d have to conjure up J.B. Stetson or old man MacLachlan to hand build one in Graham’s Optimo shop then get Fabergé to build a case.

Or just get him a goofy golf hat with a green visor. Lol

G W Alexander Co hat, said to have 7 1/2 inch crown and 4 1/2 inch brim. I'm guessing it dates to 1940's or 50's. It's very similar to the modern era D Bar J I bought a month ago that was stolen or disappeared in the mail.
