A couple caps from Keith Lo Bue's The Well Dressed Head, a "Five Points" Summer Straw made from indigo dyed hemp, and the l'Aronde cap (The Dove) made from 1850-1890 overshot linen/wool in a blue and cream pattern. It appears I like blue hues....

Although I’m not naive to the evil in the world, I chose to believe people and look for the good. I’ll take the seller at her word. I was certainly disappointed, but it’s just a hat.

Glad someone here got it. I have been wanting such a Portis for a long time, they were from Illinois. I had a heads up on it (from a fellow lounger) and almost purchased it...but with the Illinois Lock-down business is hurting and I have to be a responsible adult.....damb it.......I fear we may loose many a business before this is all over.......when ever that may be......anyway...good get!!!
PS: When you get it be sure to post it is a small 7 1/2 and then I will feel better!!
