I don't concern myself with the "caffeine free" part, but recently my wife and I have gotten into the habit of drinking iced coffee in the afternoons and evenings to quench our thirsts and to beat the heat. Good stuff!

I've tried "instant" coffees once or twice in the past. They didn't taste like coffee to me, so that was a bit of a problem. Depending on the brand, some decaffeinated coffees don't taste right to me either, so I try to stop drinking coffee of any variety two or three hours before bedtime so I won't lose too much sleep.

I've tried "instant" coffees once or twice in the past. They didn't taste like coffee to me, so that was a bit of a problem.

Back then in my instant (real) coffee days, I was also wondering all the time, how they managed to have some caffeine left in the glass, while caffeine is told to be naturally very heat sensitive. But there were instant coffees, I remember relatively strong and awakening.
