Yesterday I was sport'n a Cordova cap. The Fox Brothers herringbone linen is a terrific fabric. It has enough heft not to look disheveled, like other linens, after wearing. I really like this cap and fabric.

Black synthetic Ushanka. Not optimal for my head shape, but still good for transitional weather period.

I've worn my ushankas in the depths of Winter, great things. Only one negative experience.... About fifteen odd years ago now, when I still lived alone, I was ill during that first week of January and feeling the cold, so I went to bed with one on. Fell asleep wearing it. Woke up having forgotten, and had that brief minute of being freaked out because I thought my hair had grown back overnight...

A favorite from Monsivais, I call it my Downton Abbey cap because it passes for tweed but it’s actually a very airy and cool wearing silk/wool blend, perfect when you live in Orlando but still want to dress for Autumn! Also, it has a nice drape.

Really like the look of that. I’ve been eyeing a flat cap he’s offering on Etsy in the same linen.
