I dig the wide brimmed hats a lot of you wear. All I have is hats with brims that are less than 2 inches. Anything bigger and I think the hat will overwhelm me.

While I don't necessarily think wider brims would overwhelm you, I was just thinking that while I generally dislike narrow brims, your hats always seem to be perfectly proportioned for you. Your looks are always quite dapper. Well done, sir!

Thought I might share some pictures of a pair of trousers I have been wearing lately. They are in a very nice grey/blue wool fabric, swedish and quite old.

Here, I could really use another belt. I am size 29/30w and would be interested in offers

This one is mostly to show my suspenders and my shirt. Yes, the collar and tie are not corrected.

I really think brim dimensions depend a lot upon face shape and build. For whatever the reason, a brim narrower than 2 1/8" at an absolute minimum looks tiny on top of my head, makes me look like a pyramid or something. It's a pity, because there are a lot of gorgeous stingy brim hats out there and I do like the look, just not on me. It clearly works on you, and FWIW, if you want a wide-brimmed look I think you could pull off a slightly wider brim if you tried. Generally I think of 2 1/8" as a nice middle of the road width that most people can wear. On you it would look wide, but not overly so on me it looks stingy without making me look like a pinhead. I don't entirely understand how these proportions work, but knowing what looks good on you is half the battle.
