Want a size 40 CR - new JL order, or wait for a used LW?

So ever after I sold this white JL jacket - I’ve been missing having an armor like heavyweight CR…

I know another member here ordered a 6oz CXLSH jacket from JL and was very happy with the jacket. So I’ve reached out to Damon for a quote - I’d expect 1300-1500 USD plus taxes and duty which will be 20-30%… (or higher depends on how we negotiate with President Trump for UK tarrif).

Another option is to wait for a used LW Buco rider or Easy rider in 40 to appear in classifieds - I expect it will be cheaper. But I want the heavy weight stuff. So may not see one for sale for a long time.

What would you do - if you were in my shoe and into heavy jacket?

The JL CR I sold was made in 2mm cowhide so I guess it’s around 4-4.5oz. It was heavy but not stiff. I’m after a design with side adjusters so I can wear a big belt with a big buckle - hence I’m considering the LW models as believe both Buco rider and Easy rider come with side adjusters

Convince the buyer that he actually wants a LW then buy back your jacket.

Thanks guys - I have no regrets selling that jacket - too many jackets and not enough chances to wear! I’ve a 3 jacket policy - 1 summer, 1 winter, and 1 for easy wearing occasion like seeing school teachers (so don’t want to be in a cross zip jacket to look badass!)

If I can find a good LW CR - I’ll be selling a Vanson Enfield in HH to make space! That’s my current ‘easy jacket’
