crazy price for this LL Bean bag
I don't know where they're getting the 40's dating, with the tag being the only thing that I can see that would date it. I've got a '70s Bean shirt with the same tag, so I don't think that's the key.

edit: just checked, my tag is not the same. It's similar, but I know that similar doesn't cut it.

I checked out of a couple of the links to the 30s Bean catalogs on this site, and I'm starting to believe the dates on these.
Here's another one of the dark brown duck bags that just sold.
