Vintage ways to keep your ears warm?

What are some ideas for covering your ears while still sporting that vintage look?

How did they keep their ears warm back then?

A friend of mine had a vintage pair of ear covers, very thin and had a very thin, narrow band that was made specially to fit under a fedora.

Yes, I think 180's are the best thing for keeping the ears warm when wearing a proper hat on those cold days. I often wear them with my homburg.

My friend's were actually vintage and the thin band went up over his head.

Read my mind. I had bought some earmuffs (new ones) last year and they hurt. I am wondering if the vintage ones would be more comfortable if I can find a decent pair.

I have some 180s that I wore with baseball during college and I still wear them with my fedora on cold days. I agree though that unless you get them on just right they can be quite uncomfortable.
