The photo was taken by this gentleman, Russell Lee (1903-1986) in Pie Town New Mexico, in Oct 1940.

I always liked that photo especially the fancy topcoat the tall one is wearing.

Switzerland invading Italy, 1914

Fearing Italy would invade the Ticino, the italian part of Switzerland, the Swiss army (colonel Keller head of the army in 1914) prepared an invasion of the northern part of Italy. He had planned to invade Italy all the way to Milan...

Thankfully, the Swiss government never gave an agreement to this foolish concept. :eusa_doh:
