The shoe store's Art Deco façade was installed on the Binz Building at Main and Texas. Completed in 1894, the six-story Binz Building was Houston's first skyscraper. Allen's Shoes relocated in 1941, but remained a fixture on Main Street through the late 1950s.

Thrre was a structure in a nearby town like the Red Coach Grill. It was the place to be up into the 80's. There was a motel attached to it built in the same style. It was all demoed a few years ago and a new generic chain motel and restaurant building was the replacement. There is a special place in hell for "redevelopers".

Looks like she's holding a Coke and perhaps a hamburger. Not sure how this ties in with the Las Vegas neon sign.
