Love the twisted piece of neon dangling from the "C" in Cadillac.

In many adults, you can see the child in them - physically, in their enthusiasm or when something brings it out. You didn't get much of this from my Depression Era dad - childhood struggle takes the kid right out of you - but when he had an ice-cream soda placed in front of him, his face would light up and you could see a little bit of the kid he must have once been sparkle in his eyes.

From my visit to see my brother this weekend...used to be a Burger Chef in the early 60s. I'll admit it's a greasy spoon, but it's good.

Re Cadillac Fence Hardware -- is it a place that sells hardware for fences run by a family named Cadillac, or is it a parts agency for Cadillacs run by someone named Fence? Good neon, but poor sign design!

Granted, you can't fully tell the distances between the two, but based on that tanker truck, that is one big, big sign. And, yes, the chefs are cousins at minimum.
