It would be wonderful if that could be used somewhere - maybe as the rear fastening of a waistcoat. It would hardly be seen but it would be great to know it was there.

Yeah we are in the lucky position to have a regular seller on the local fleamarket who got tousands of czech buttons. Many great one too. Mainly for womenswear of course but my girlfriend already made so many clothes using czech buttons!
