Over time other things caught my interest...kids...I don’t even remember most of what I did with the money. I still have some. But nowhere near that.

Having recently bought a modern 38 special revolver for range shooting, I can see how a person can get going as a collector pretty quickly. I'm searching Google images for old S&W models rather obsessively.
Who collects pre 50's firearms? Holsters/cases?

An easy way to tell if a S&W is built prior to 1957 is to look inside the crane area when the cylinder is open. If it is stamped Mod. ** it was made after 1957. I am a confessed junkie of old S&Ws...

Turns out my wife inherited her grandfather's Ruger Security Six (6"). It's really sweet and all but perfect--but her mother won't let her have it!

The Security Six is built like a tank. Wolff makes a replacement spring kit that will smooth and lighten the action.

WW2 surplus is my favorite, the US Springfield M1903, Mauser m98, Mosin Nagants and also Cold War era / Vietnam war

Israeli Mausers with markings , Russian SVT40 , sks , I prefer shooters, not wall hangers
