excuse me? We have talked about American Idol many times here before. Besides that did you look at the video. I didn't even watch American Idol for the record. I saw it when someone sent me the video. The epitome of the American Dream and I find it very relevant to FL for that reason.
Going from nothing to where she will go is inspiring and exciting.

The moderators have spoken and I don't appreciate using my topic as a stage.
Haiti is a tragedy and I am doing personally what I can and am close to others doing great work there. I worked in a food pantry for years. I do not dismiss grief of anyone.

Please forgive me, but I really think it has nothing to do with the Golden Era whatsoever[huh] and I already have an extra day job reading all the vintage related stuff.
There's 80's cars, mountain bikes, 70's suits, the Beatles and the Clash...all over the forum nowadays. I hate all that stuff! That's why I'm here!

It's that certain people can get away with this kind of thing and that others can't, really. It has very little to do with the topic at hand.
Incidentally, this is a VINTAGE forum. Not an entertainment forum. The bartenders have made that VERY clear with deletions and pruning. Don't pretend they haven't.

ok, you edited, so i get to edit: Check out the thread on Avatar in 3-D a few spots down in this forum. There's a better argument for the inclusion of a talent show than the most high tech thing to ever hit movie theaters. You guys just shot at the easy target poster on this one.
