Hi ladies, I just came across some Lane Bryant catalogs from 1942 and 1947 and,
I'm in LOVE!!!
Now, I called Lane Bryant to ask what happens to their older clothes, the ones that don't sell, and was told they go to an outlet, the very nice customer servie rep told me that I wouldn't find anything their older than two years which I figured but, what happens to those clothes that don't sell? How do we come across these new old stock items? Do stores destroy the merchandise? I was thinking of writing Lane Bryant, both the catalog and their flagship store (which houses an entire 5 story building even though only two floors are used for shopping, I know one is for storage becuase sales people have gone up there and retrieved something for me on occasion) which is about 20 minutes away from me to inquire. If any of you have any ideas on what happens to clothes that don't sell, do tell. Thanks.
