Anyone see this Joe Pesci/Barbara Hersey movie? I saw it when it came out, but I bought a copy of it the other day. It seems perfectly cast with Pesci as a very thinly disguised Arthur "Weegee" Felig, Golden Age photographer. It's very true to Weegee's life and story, but takes some major fictional turns to 'make it more interesting'.

Man, it's an expensive looking film. The cars, locations, costumes, and sets are just incredible. It's got some really great film noir lighting too.

I'm only a short way into re-watching it, but it's fast becoming a new forgotten favourite. I'm going to have to find it on DVD.

I guess I didn't post on this before

I enjoyed this film. I think I still have a camera timer like he uses to get himself in a shot.
This film made me think that Pesci would have made a good "Monk" Mayfair in a Doc Savage movie. (Where's the Doc smiley?)

Sincerely,
The Wolf
