That's good to hear. Thanks.
John Lofgren Monkey Boots Shinki Horsebuttt - $1,136 The classic monkey boot silhouette in an incredibly rich Shinki russet horse leather.
Grant Stone Diesel Boot Dark Olive Chromexcel - $395 Goodyear welted, Horween Chromexcel, classic good looks.
Schott 568 Vandals Jacket - $1,250 The classic Perfecto motorcycle jacket, in a very special limited-edition Schott double rider style. I don't collect hats; I wear them.I am so impressed by the quality of work done by the Loungers. But for the moment, I would like to pose a philosophical question. I have an idea how this group of converters will respond, but I spoke with my favorite hat shop owner here in Boston, and he believes as long as the body of the hat is whole, changing the liner, headband, ribbon etc. is not a big deal. However, if you buy an older hat - in my case a 1930s Adam - and some part, be it the headband, ribbon, or liner is not perfect, would you send it out to a hatter of repute for a remake (or do it yourself as many of you have illustrated so well), or would you try to keep the vintage components?
I appreciate whatever wisdom the Lounge can impart on this philosophical question.
