As most loyal readers of this thread know @steur has pulled together fantastic information on the various Borsalino felt hat styles, colors and manufacture years. The latest updates he posted can be found on page 500 of this thread. Since that posting, I noticed a few items that I had in my possession that were not to be found in his lists, and as many times as I find myself referencing his information, I decided to re-create his spreadsheets in a Google sheet that can be viewed, modified and shared, as new information comes to light. As of now I only have his models in spreadsheet form and I have included, in this version, all new information he commented on since the page 500 printed version he shared. If anyone is interested in this ongoing project, DM me and I can share a link to a non-editable, viewable version of the sheet.

Caveat - if @steur feels that this spreadsheet is improper to share or infringes on his work, I will remove this post and no longer share the sheet.

Cross posting the hat I just put up in new hats. Anyone that knows Borsalinos (@steur Stefan or @jeffgarf Jeff) want to take a crack at deciphering the model name? I feel like I'm seeing *bba but maybe there's one more letter in front. Pretty sure the color is avorio and to my understanding that inventory tag dates it between 1920-1936 but am happy to be corrected in furtherance of my education! It's a 2 7/8" raw edge brim.

The wind trolley cord is disintegrating and I spose I'll just have to pull it off, but otherwise the hat looks great. I don't think I see any moth nips anywhere, just maybe a little dirty.

Had bought this to flip since the tag on the sweatband says 7 1/8 and I didn't feel like trying to muck around with stretching a 1930s sweatband, but the inventory tag says 7 1/4 and it fits me fine, so much to the chagrin of my wife I may have to keep it. For all the cold weather we have down here in New Orleans.

7 1/8 would be the UK sizing for a US 7 1/4. The dating you have seems to be correct based on @steur 's original dating info, but I could not see anything on what the model might be on that hat. Maybe @Daniele Tanto knows by sight? A great find and, since it's my size too, I'm bummed I didn't catch it. Well done.

It is a wonderful old Borsalino. Made before the WWII. "Avorio" is the color, the size is 7 1/4 so a 58 cm..
I think it is a very clear example of Borsalino made for exportation with al the features that made this hats factory a plus
