Another Vanson! A DJCB this time, in competition weight.
Suprisingly light, fantastic mobility, VERY tight cuffs when buttoned, I'm very happy with the fit overall - extremely flattering cut.
Keeper for now!
Not sure how many Vansons I've had by now, but it ain't the last one! Stay tuned.

Nice! This one is definitely to be kept!

I prefer a bit longer sleeves, but if you want to sell it I'll get it for you! Ahah.

Of your vansons, this is my favourite
Glad to hear that!
For me nothing can beat the model E. I'd give up all my other jackets before I give up that one.
And the modified octagon B puts up serious competition as well.
Damn Vanson for making such incredible jackets and damn JP folk for giving me so many opportunities to buy them so cheaply.

If the Japanese used market sold bigger jackets, I would be a lot poorer

Wow, that is an amazing journey. Thanks for sharing with us. If I did that, my better half would have killed me by now. I don’t think I could sell all those jackets since they ALL looked good.

As far as the LW heavy weight leather, you have to either ask for it from Stu or find one that is make with the heavy stuff. I have two heavies, that they weight in the 8+ lb and 7+ lb, they are absolute monsters. I made sure to have the heavy duty zippers on them since the tiny ones would have no chance with this leather.

And another Vanson! I'm very original, I know.
Vanson Remington (discontinued) in Octagon. Size 36.
As expected from the description - very very wide shoulders for the size.
But otherwise great fit for heavy layering!

The shoulders are wide indeed but I don't think that's the issue. What makes it looks off imo is the tight chest and high armholes. It makes the jacket look hourglass shaped which is not the right fit for a peacoat.

It might not be the typical straight down peacoat fit, that's for sure. But I rather like the higher armholes and slim chest and waist. The chest is definitely not tight in terms of comfort and mobility, it's just right in my opinion. And I like the car coat like hourglass shape personally.
