Splendid. But I strongly doubt the 1919 date.
Judging by the suit, I'd put it to 1927-1930.

Yes, it felt later to me too. But when I saw the date, I didn't look further. Also, for some reason it doesn't surprise me at all this image is Dutch!

Those belt buckles are lovely but unpractical seeign the amount of times one needs to unbutton the coat now days (all indoor areas now are well heated, or just sitting down - considering one unbuttons his coat whilst seated).

You could always leave the belt closed.

1912? Something like that. That cut would be called conservative later on, and I would think someone buying a conservative suit wouldn't want such wild cloth. I also think the back-belt, fishtail would be gone later. Just a guess. The fabric, as Papperskatt said, is fantastic!

Today I found some odd suit parts. What do you guys think? Should I buy them? I am hesitant as they would have very little use in my cramped closet.

Perhaps I need to try them on with the other clothes being more appropriate.

If they don't work when you try them with more appropriate trousers then you can sell them.

Just remember, how often do you find pre-1920s clothes in your size? Buy them before someone else does.

Haha! These clothes always come in my size! I'll buy the green ones. I'll keep you in mind dostioffsky. I am a 37 inch chest 29 waist for reference.

Good choice, Broccoli. I might be interested, too. Put me second in line. The brown one must have been a nice coat once, but it's a little too far gone in my opinion.

With the brown buttons, the green check might work with mid brown, tan or ginger trousers. Couldn't think of any other shades except for those fancy pattern with hard-to-define colors, but who has enough of those to pick one that harmonizes.

I'm becoming more hesitant of the "you can always sell it" notion. It doesn't always work out that way.
